”You cannot drink the cup of the lord and also the cup of the demons. You cannot partake of the table of the lord and of the demons” (1st Corinthians 10:21). This verse states it clearly that, as human beings we must choose where to belong to. As a common saying goes “a man cannot live on two identities”. If you choose the Lord let that be the guide to help one overcome the evils in the society. Take a look at children; most of them are brought up in a specific Godly denomination, but what is happening to the teenagers? Have the bible outgrown its purpose of guiding them that they are free to engage in immorality acts? I guess not.
“You shall not degrade your daughter by making a prostitute of her, else the land will become corrupt and full of lewdness” (Leviticus 20:19). I guess I won’t be wrong if I say that in this case the prostitute aren’t the twilight ladies usually seen at the dark hours of the day. In this case I am referring to you, who is easily involved in the act of sex and you clearly know it is a sin and if you didn’t know, at least now you know. It is common knowledge that sex is holy and for married couples, so as you do the act just cares to ask yourself why?
“But because of immorality every man should have his own wife, and every woman her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2). There you have it at last. The verse more than explains what is expected of us if at all you do want to do away with the sin of fornication.
“Let marriage be honorable among all and the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the immoral and adulterers. Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have for He has said, I will never forsake you or abandon you” (Hebrews 13:4-5)”
“Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be self-absorbed, cynical treacherous, ruthless, bloated-windbags, addicted to lust and allergic to God.”(2 Timothy 3:1-8). I don’t want to be a prophet of doom and say that the world is coming to an end but the recent events don’t suggest otherwise. More or less the doomsday is just but near. Just what happened to the innocent kids who were always more than ready to wait until they say “till death do us part” to engage in sexual activities? Putting this into account let us just try to take a Biblical view on what it says and maybe we might just be more than convinced to change our ways on the issue.
As I wind up, from the few bible verses it is evident that at no point does it support immorality specifically fornication. The choice made is all but yours, your choice to sin, your decision. Always bear this in mind that, the devil doesn’t control your mind, so you always have a choice of saying no.
